Top of title page and first page of Dedication cut off, not affecting text. Lower corner of page vii/viii of Preface missing. Internally age darkened and mildly foxed in places.

Title page mildly foxed (see image). Rubbed and bumped. Name of previous owner (Wilson Armistead, 1852) on front free end paper. Internally bright and clean.
