Bound 1787 volume in contemporary calf boards. Later matching spine with six raised bands and red morroco spine label, with title in gilt. Gilt decorations to spine. / Two facsimile volumes are unbound! 1787 Text Volume: Very good condition. Rubbed and bumped with some losses to the corners of front and rear boards. Later spine. Sound binding. Edges and end papers age darkened. Some signs of previous tape repair on front end papers. Paper label of previous owner on front paste down. Name of another previous owner written on front free end paper, dated 1785. Signature of another previous owner on verso of frontispiece. Signature of previous owner on top of title page and page 1 of the main text. See comments of Provenance below. First and last few pages age darkened / browned. Internally bright and clean. A nice copy. / Facsimile volumes: as new. Do note this consists of unbound sheet stock, sewn as book blocks with the plates contained within the original polythene envelope. This offer consists of the original leather bound text volume of the second Edition of 1787 and two unbound volumes of the 1991 Facsimile Reprint of the same 1787 Edition.
