Both volumes show mild age darkening and occasional mild foxing. Overall a very nice set in a sturdy attractive binding.

Rare Irish Hand Carved Bog Oak Book Slide. The adjustable base with allround Laurel Leaf decoration and a central split carving depicting a view of a Church or Abbey (Muckross Abbey, Killarney?). Two hinged folding bookends, one carved depicting an Irish Celtic Cross, the other as an Irish Harp surrounded by shamrocks.
