Complete with a frontispiece, engraved title page and a further 38 Plates, as listed. One plate in colour. Contemporary tree claf. Red spine lable with gilt title. Gilt lines to spine. Very good condition. Binding rubbed, bumped and weak! Front board barely connected. Front joint and hinge open. Would benefit from rebacking or rebinding. Edges and end papers age darkened. Occasional mild foxing and a few damp stains. Name of previous owner on front free end paper. Internally clean. Despite the weak binding a nice complete copy of the scarce first edition.

Complete with 40 Plates as listed. Contemporary full calf with elaborate blind decorations. Black morocco spine label with gilt title. Marbled end papers. Red speckled edges. Very good condition. Some shelf wear, rubbing and bumping. Edges age darkened. Mild age darkening and foxing internally. Armorial Ex Libris on front paste down. Name of previous owner on title page (see notes on Provenance below). Overall a very nice copy.
